How much do curtains cost in Sharjah?

At Al Noor, fitted curtains start at AED 35 per metre for standard fabric and reach around AED 120 per metre for premium blackout, velvet or imported linen. A typical 3-metre bedroom window costs AED 350–700 fully fitted. Motorised tracks add AED 900–2,500 per window depending on width.

Do you charge for measurement?

No. Measurement and quotation are free anywhere in Sharjah, Ajman and Dubai. We visit with fabric samples, measure every window, and give you a written price on the spot with no obligation.

Which curtains are best for UAE summer heat?

Triple-weave blackout fabric with a thermal lining performs best in the UAE. It blocks direct sun, lowers room temperature by several degrees and noticeably reduces AC load — which matters most on west-facing windows between May and September. Pairing blackout with a sheer layer keeps daylight without the heat.

How long does it take?

Most curtain orders are stitched and installed within 3 to 5 working days of confirming the fabric. Urgent orders can be completed in 48 hours for an additional charge.

Blinds

Which type of blind should I choose?

Roller blinds suit bedrooms and apartments and are the cheapest per square foot. Vertical blinds suit offices and wide windows. Roman blinds give a softer, more decorative look for living rooms. Wooden blinds suit villas and majlis. Aluminium blinds suit kitchens, bathrooms and workshops where humidity and cleaning matter.

How much do blinds cost in Sharjah?

Vertical blinds start at AED 40 per square foot fitted, roller blinds at AED 45, Roman at AED 75 and wooden at AED 90. A standard office window typically costs AED 400–900 supplied and installed.

Do you fit blinds on the same day?

Ready-size roller blinds can often be fitted within 48 hours. Custom wooden, Roman and motorised blinds take 5 to 7 working days.

Roller Blinds

How much do roller blinds cost in Sharjah?

Roller blinds at Al Noor start at AED 45 per square foot supplied and fitted. A standard 4ft × 5ft bedroom window works out around AED 900. Blackout fabric adds roughly 15%, and motorising a roller blind starts at AED 750 per window.

What is a zebra or day-night blind?

A zebra blind has alternating sheer and solid horizontal stripes on one roller. Sliding it lets you line the stripes up for full privacy or offset them to let filtered daylight through, giving you the effect of two blinds in one fitting.

Roman Blinds

Are Roman blinds better than curtains?

Roman blinds use less fabric and take up no wall space either side of the window, which suits smaller Sharjah apartments. Curtains insulate better against heat and cover very wide windows more economically. Many customers use Roman blinds in living rooms and blackout curtains in bedrooms.

Can Roman blinds be blackout?

Yes. We add a blackout backing behind the face fabric, so you keep the decorative look while blocking light almost completely — a common choice for bedrooms that face the morning sun.

Vertical Blinds

Why are vertical blinds used in offices?

They are the cheapest way to cover large window areas, they angle to kill screen glare without blacking the room out, and when one louvre is damaged you replace that single strip rather than the whole unit. For a Sharjah office floor that adds up to a much lower cost of ownership.

Do you supply office projects?

Yes. We fit vertical blinds for offices, clinics, schools, hotels and staff accommodation across Sharjah and Dubai, and quote per project for fit-out contractors.

Wooden Blinds

Real wood or faux wood in the UAE?

Faux wood is the safer choice in the UAE. It looks almost identical, costs less, and will not warp in the humidity of a kitchen, bathroom or ground-floor villa. We recommend real basswood mainly for dry, air-conditioned living rooms and majlis where the grain is worth the premium.

Aluminium Blinds

Are aluminium blinds good for kitchens and bathrooms?

Yes — they are the best option for those rooms. Unlike wood or fabric, aluminium slats do not absorb steam, warp or stain with cooking grease, and they can be wiped down with a damp cloth. That makes them the longest-lasting choice for a UAE kitchen window.

Flooring

Flooring in Sharjah

Which flooring is best for UAE apartments?

Vinyl and PVC are the most reliable choice in the UAE because they are water-resistant and will not swell at the joints in humidity. Wooden laminate looks best in dry, air-conditioned living rooms. Carpet suits bedrooms and majlis where warmth and sound absorption matter more than moisture.

Can you install over existing tiles?

Yes. Vinyl, PVC and laminate can be laid directly over sound existing tiles with an underlay, which avoids demolition cost and lets most apartments be finished in one day.

How much does flooring cost in Sharjah?

Carpet starts at AED 10 per square foot installed, vinyl and PVC at AED 12, and wooden laminate runs AED 18–35. A standard 1-bedroom apartment typically costs AED 3,000–6,000 complete including skirting.

Carpet Flooring

Carpet or carpet tiles for an office?

Carpet tiles for almost every Sharjah office. When a section is stained or worn you lift and swap those tiles instead of recarpeting the floor, and they can be laid around desks without shutting the office down. Broadloom carpet gives a more seamless finish for boardrooms and majlis.

Wooden Flooring

Does wooden flooring survive UAE humidity?

Quality laminate with a moisture-barrier underlay performs well in air-conditioned Sharjah apartments and villas. We do not recommend it for kitchens, bathrooms or ground-floor rooms that see standing water — vinyl or PVC is the correct choice there.

Vinyl Flooring

Vinyl or laminate — which should I choose?

Vinyl in almost every UAE case. It costs less, is fully waterproof, and will not swell at the joints the way laminate does if water sits on it. Laminate is worth considering only in dry, permanently air-conditioned rooms where you want a slightly harder, more traditional feel underfoot.

PVC Flooring

What is the difference between PVC and vinyl flooring?

They are chemically the same material — the difference is format and grade. We use 'vinyl' for the click-plank LVT used in homes, and 'PVC' for the wide heavy-duty rolls with heat-welded seams used in offices, clinics, kitchens and warehouses where a seamless, hygienic, hard-wearing surface is required.

Customized Furniture

Customized Furniture in Sharjah

Can you copy a design I have seen?

Yes. Send us a photo on WhatsApp and we will quote the same design built to your room's measurements. Most of our furniture work starts from a customer photo or a Pinterest reference.

How long does customized furniture take?

Typically 10 to 15 working days from confirming the fabric and design, including delivery and placement in your home. Larger majlis and full-villa orders can take up to three weeks.

Why is custom cheaper than a showroom?

Because you are buying from the workshop rather than through it. Showrooms in the UAE typically order from workshops like ours in the industrial areas and add their retail margin, rent and staffing on top. Coming to us directly removes that layer.

Customized Majlis

How much does a customized majlis cost in Sharjah?

A full customized majlis set from Al Noor starts around AED 3,500 and typically lands between AED 5,000 and AED 12,000 depending on the room's length, foam density and fabric grade. We build it in our own Sharjah workshop, so you choose exact dimensions, fabric and firmness rather than buying a fixed showroom size.

Can you match my existing majlis?

Usually yes. Send photos and we will match the style, height and fabric as closely as the current market allows — useful when extending seating into a larger room or replacing a damaged section.

Customized Sofa

How much does a custom sofa cost in Sharjah?

A customized 3-seater from Al Noor starts at AED 2,200 and typically runs AED 3,000–6,000 depending on size, fabric and foam grade. An L-shape or corner unit generally starts around AED 4,500.

Can you re-cover my existing sofa instead?

Yes, and if the frame is solid it is usually the better value. Re-covering with new fabric and foam typically costs 40–60% of a comparable new sofa, and older hardwood frames are often better built than what is sold at that price today.

Customized Beds

Can you build a bed for a non-standard mattress?

Yes — that is one of the most common reasons customers come to us. Send the mattress dimensions and we build the frame around it, which solves the problem of imported or older mattresses that do not fit UAE retail bed sizes.

Customized Headboards

Can you make a full wall headboard?

Yes — full-height, wall-to-wall upholstered panels are one of our most requested pieces. We build them in sections in the workshop and assemble them on the wall at your home, so there is no problem getting them through doors or lifts.

Customized Cupboards

Why choose a built-in wardrobe over a ready-made one?

A built-in unit uses the full floor-to-ceiling height and the full wall width, which typically gives 30–40% more storage in the same footprint than a freestanding wardrobe, with no dust-collecting gap on top. It also lets us work around awkward corners, columns and AC ducts that a ready-made unit cannot.

Customized Tables & Chairs

Can you make a table for a narrow dining area?

Yes — narrow and long tables are one of the most common custom requests in Sharjah apartments, where the dining space is often a corridor-shaped section of the living room. We build to whatever width still leaves comfortable clearance to walk past.

Customized Outdoor Sheets & Cushions

How long do outdoor cushions last in the UAE sun?

With UV-stable outdoor fabric, expect 3 to 5 years before noticeable fading. Ordinary indoor upholstery fabric used outdoors will typically fade badly within a single UAE summer, which is why we quote outdoor work only in proper outdoor-grade material.

Upholstery & Soft Furnishings

Upholstery & Soft Furnishings in Sharjah

Is re-upholstery cheaper than buying new?

Usually yes, and by a wide margin, provided the frame is sound. Re-covering a solid hardwood-frame sofa typically costs 40–60% of a comparable new one, and older frames are often better built than what is sold at that price today. If the frame is broken or particleboard, we will tell you honestly that a new piece is the better buy.

Do you collect the furniture?

Yes — free pickup and delivery anywhere in Sharjah, Ajman and Dubai. Most jobs are returned within 5 to 7 working days.

Can you match my existing fabric?

We can usually get very close. Send a photo, or give us a small offcut if you have one, and we will bring the nearest matches from our range when we collect the piece.

Sofa Upholstery

How much does sofa upholstery cost in Sharjah?

Re-upholstering a sofa at Al Noor costs from AED 250 per seat including fabric and new foam, so a typical 3-seater runs AED 750–1,500 depending on the fabric grade. An L-shape or corner sofa is quoted per running metre after a free inspection.

My sofa has sagged — can that be fixed?

Almost always. Sagging is usually failed webbing or collapsed foam rather than a broken frame. We re-web the base and fit new high-density foam, which restores the original firmness — and you can ask for it firmer than it was, which most customers do.

Majlis Upholstery

Can you re-cover only part of a majlis?

Yes. Where one wall of seating has faded in the sun or a section has worn, we can re-cover that run alone and match it to the rest. Doing it in stages also spreads the cost, which suits larger majlis.

Dining Chair Upholstery

Which fabric is best for dining chairs?

A tight-weave stain-resistant fabric or a good leatherette. Both wipe clean, which matters far more on a dining chair than the fabric's look — loose-weave decorative fabrics trap food and stain permanently within a year of normal family use.

Foam Replacement

Do I need full re-upholstery or just new foam?

If the fabric is clean and unworn but the seat sinks when you sit, you only need foam — that is roughly a third of the cost of a full re-upholstery. If the fabric is faded, torn or stained, do both at once, since the labour of removing the covers is the same either way.

Bedcovers & Bed Runners

Can you match bedcovers to my curtains?

Yes — this is one of the main reasons customers order both from us. Because the curtains and the bedcover are cut in the same workshop from the same roll, the match is exact rather than approximate, which is almost impossible to achieve buying them separately.

Wallpaper

Wallpaper in Sharjah

How much does wallpaper cost in Sharjah?

Wallpaper at Al Noor starts at AED 120 per roll supplied and fixed, with premium 3D and textured ranges from AED 250 per roll. A typical bedroom feature wall needs 2–3 rolls, so budget AED 300–750 finished including installation.

How long does wallpaper installation take?

A single feature wall is normally finished within 2 to 3 hours. A full room takes most of a day including surface preparation and removal of any old wallpaper.

Does wallpaper peel in UAE humidity?

Not if the wall is prepared properly and the right adhesive is used. Peeling in the UAE almost always comes from damp walls, poor surface preparation or cheap paste rather than the paper itself. We prime the wall first and use humidity-rated adhesive as standard.

Can you remove my old wallpaper?

Yes. Removal, wall preparation and making good are quoted with the job, so the price you agree covers stripping the old paper as well as hanging the new.
